Swore I'd never touch a firebox door without a torque wrench again after what happened in Gary
Last Tuesday on a retube job in Gary I watched a guy snug up a firebox door by feel and blow out a gasket an hour later, so I ate crow and started torquing in a star pattern to spec. Cost us 45 minutes up front but saved a whole shutdown. Any of you got a pattern you swear by on tube sheets, or is it all feel for you?
