The week we had to re-tube a boiler in a 90-degree attic
Spent four days in full gear up there, and the heat was brutal. We got it done by starting at 5 AM and using a big fan to move some air. Anyone have a better method for staying cool in those tight, hot spaces?

Been there. We started freezing gallon jugs of water overnight. Wrap one in a towel and put it against your back under your shirt, swap it out when it thaws. Also, a cheap spray bottle with ice water for your face and neck makes a huge difference. Those cooling towels you soak in cold water are worth the money too. It's still miserable, but it takes the edge off enough to keep moving.

Yeah the spray bottle trick is a lifesaver. I keep one in my lunchbox with ice cubes floating in it all day. A quick mist on the back of the neck when you're feeling dizzy from the heat is instant relief. I also swear by those cheap foam earplugs, not for noise but to keep sweat from pouring down into your ears. It's the little things that keep you from totally melting down.
