Water wall on unit 3 vs unit 1 after the tune up, the difference is nuts
Pulled the burner on unit 3 at the Riverbend plant after 6 months of running the new fuel curve and the water wall tubes are practically clean compared to unit 1 which we haven't touched since spring. Same fuel, same load, only difference is we bumped the excess O2 from 2.8% to 3.5% and moved the SAD setpoint by 15 degrees. I still can't believe how much slag built up on unit 1 while unit 3 looks like we just washed it. Has anyone else seen that big of a swing just from O2, or was our original curve just that far off?
