A lady at the Portland farmers market asked to touch the cover of my first hand-bound journal
I was selling my first batch of books last Saturday, and this older woman picked up a journal with a dark blue leather cover. She asked if she could feel the grain, then closed her eyes and ran her fingers over it for a full minute. She looked up and said, 'You can tell someone's heart is in this.' I'd been worried the leather was too rough, but her words made all the hours feel worth it. Has anyone else had a small comment from a customer just make your whole day?

Wow, that's the best kind of feedback, isn't it?

The feedback was just two words.
