I finally hit 200 hand-bound books last Tuesday
Everyone talks about hitting 100 or 500 like those are the big ones, but 200 felt different to me. I realized I've been doing this long enough that my stitching is consistent and my corners don't pucker anymore. The 200th book was a coptic stitch journal in dark green linen that I sold at a shop in Portland. Has anyone else found a weird milestone that meant more to them than the usual round numbers?

Did you end up going with a lighter weight paper for the coptic stitch or something heavier? I hit 200 on a different craft a while back and it was the same thing - that's when I stopped second guessing my cuts and just knew when something was off before I even measured. Dark green linen is a great choice, I bet it looks sharp with cream or off-white pages.

I finally hit 200 hand-bound books last Tuesday" - that's a solid milestone right there. I read somewhere that 200 is actually the point where you really know a craft because you've done it enough times to see patterns and fix problems without even thinking about it. I remember someone saying that around 150-200 projects is where most people stop making the same small mistakes and start getting consistent results. Your coptic stitch in dark green linen sounds really nice, what kind of paper did you pair it with?
