My bone folder snapped in half while pressing a spine yesterday

I was working on a leather-bound journal for a client in Denver and putting some real pressure on the spine when my cheap bone folder just cracked right down the middle. Now I'm stuck halfway through the project with a useless tool and a deadline in three days. Anyone have recommendations for a sturdy bone folder that won't break on me?

And here I thought bone folders were supposed to be the unbreakable workhorse of bookbinding, not a dramatic prop for a magic trick gone wrong lol. I'd say you just stress-tested it to its limit, which is honestly more than most cheap tools can handle anyway. Grab a basic metal folder in the meantime, it'll get you through the deadline and won't snap when you look at it funny.
