My bone folder snapped mid-folds on a 300-page order
I mean I was pressing creases on a stack for a library binding job in Portland on Tuesday and the thing just cracked in half, leaving a plastic shard sticking out of my palm. I finished the last 40 signatures with a butter knife from the break room, has anyone else had to jury-rig a folder after one failed?

Butter knife crew represent! Ngl, I keep a dull table knife in my apron now after my metal folder warped from heat bending covers too heavy for it. Ended up using a chopstick for the rest of that job, worked okay but left these weird rounded creases that looked like the paper was just tired. Props for finishing 40 signatures though, that's a solid warning to anyone who thinks one folder handles everything. Probably should've just taken the L and walked to an art supply store, but where's the fun in that?
