My week went from awful to amazing after a client brought me a water-damaged 1870s family Bible to restore.

The spine was gone and pages were stuck together, but after slowly drying and re-sewing the sections with linen thread over three days, seeing the family's reaction when I returned it made the whole stressful process worth it, so has anyone else had a restoration project that just clicked?

Yeah my buddy did this with a library book once, it was a mess. He tried the microwave for like 10 seconds and it made the glue smell weird, don't do that lol. What worked was putting paper towels between every single page and leaving it under a fan for a whole day. @paul_stone29 you gotta be patient with it, rushing just tears the paper. He still had a few wavy pages but at least they weren't stuck together anymore.
