Turns out I was gluing the spine the wrong way for 8 months, all because of one loose page
I was binding a 400 page novel last Tuesday and a chunk of pages fell right out of the text block, so I finally looked up a real tutorial instead of copying what I saw on a video. I had been slathering glue all over the spine and letting it dry flat, but you are supposed to glue it in the press so the block stays square and the pages actually hold. Any of you switch methods after a binding failed on you, and what tipped you off that something was off?
