Warning: a customer at my shop in Akron said my coptic stitch looked 'too neat' and it messed with my head for a week
I laughed it off at the counter, but then I opened my last three journals and realized every signature was pulled drum tight with zero spine swell. Decided a flat 2mm gap looks way more handmade than my ironed out boards, so now I'm stitching loose on purpose. Anybody else get thrown off by a random comment and change their whole style over it?
