DAE feel like plant groups online are too competitive now?

Plant clubs used to be about sharing tips and helping each other grow. Now it's all about who has the rarest find or most perfect leaves. When did botany become a show-off contest?

Find the competition kinda fun, to be honest. It pushes me to learn more about my own plants.

The 'most perfect leaves' thing is too real. My own plants are in the 'just please don't die' phase, so I'm not exactly a top contender.

My aloe plant has exactly one good leaf after six months. At this point, keeping something alive feels like a real win. The survival phase deserves its own trophy.
