My garden after that hailstorm last Tuesday looked like a war zone

I lost 23 tomato plants and a whole row of basil in about 40 minutes, so I replanted with bush beans and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had to switch crops mid-season after a freak storm wrecked their setup.

Thought bush beans were a cop-out until last spring when a tornado shredded my corn patch in like 15 minutes. Swapped to zucchini and summer squash the same week and honestly got a better harvest than I ever did with the corn. Now I keep a bag of quick-maturing seeds in the shed just in case.
