My monstera went from sad stick to jungle monster in 8 months and I still don't know what I did right
Back in March my monstera was 4 sad leaves on a leaning stem in a 6 inch pot by my north window in Chicago. I moved it to the corner by the east window, ignored it for 8 months except for watering when the top inch felt dry, and now it's got 11 leaves with fenestrations so deep they look like Swiss cheese. My roommate says the aerial roots are trying to escape and honestly she might be right. I haven't repotted it, haven't fertilized it since June, and it's still putting out a new leaf every 3 weeks. What's the actual trigger here, is it just light angle or am I accidentally doing some secret thing I should keep doing?
