Blew $180 on a laser level for a 12 foot garden wall and it sat in the box for a year
Two summers back I picked up a rotary laser level for around $180 because I had this 12 foot garden wall job and figured it would speed things up. Got it home, opened the box, and just never used it. The wall went up fine with a string line and a 4 foot level like I always do. Fast forward to last spring, a guy in my crew asked to borrow it for a footing job in Peoria, and he showed me how fast it is once you get the tripod set right. I felt like a fool for letting it collect dust that long. Now I use it on anything over 8 feet and it saves me a solid hour per job. What tool did you buy thinking you needed it and then let it sit?
