Hit 10,000 bricks laid on a single wall today and had to stop and stare

I've been running my crew on this big commercial job out near Springfield for the last 8 weeks. We're doing the facade for a new library and I just kept laying and laying, you know how it goes when you get in a groove with a solid mix. Today we hit the 10,000th brick on that one wall alone, and I actually stopped and counted because it didn't feel real. That's a lot of bricks for one face, especially since we're doing a complex pattern with header courses every 6 rows. My foreman thought I was crazy for keeping a tally, but I had this weird sense of pride when we passed that number. Has anyone else ever hit a random milestone like that and just had to take a photo before moving on?

Not really sure I get the pride in that number. 10,000 bricks is just the job, you know? I've had days where I'm tallying up numbers and it just means the boss is getting his money's worth out of me. Usually I'm too tired to care about a photo.

Honestly why does everything have to be some deep statement about labor now.
