I finally finished that curved wall I started last July

Had a retaining wall project out near where the old drive-in used to be just south of town. The curve radius was something like 12 feet and I thought I'd knock it out in a week. Took me almost 3 months because the soil kept shifting every time I got more than 4 feet high. Anyone else run into ground movement that just messes up your layout?

That 12 foot radius sounds like a real headache with the soil issues. I mean, maybe the ground just needed more time to settle before you packed it that high. Could be you were fighting against drainage that was trapping water behind the wall.

Graded the ground with a slight slope away and that fixed the drainage problem for me @emmam32.
