Just realized the new retail strip is using brick veneer over steel frames
Some guys say it's a smart move for quick jobs, but others argue it's cutting corners on quality. Curious what the community thinks.

Honestly that rust worry feels a bit overblown. Modern steel frames are galvanized and have proper moisture barriers behind the brick. It's a standard system now, not really cutting corners if it's done right. This method lets buildings go up faster without sacrificing the brick look people want. Seen plenty of structures hold up just fine this way. It's more about smart building science than being cheap.
