My mortar mixer belt snapped halfway through a foundation job yesterday

I was mixing a batch for a house in Springfield and the whole thing just gave out. Had to finish by hand with a hoe, which added 3 hours to the day. What's the best heavy-duty mixer brand you guys trust for daily use?

My last mixer died in a mud puddle.

My uncle's crew in Texas swears by their Stone Construction mixers for heavy foundations. They've had the same two machines for almost a decade with just basic maintenance. What kind of mixer were you using when the belt broke?

Wait, did you say you finished with a hoe? You know that can mess up the mix consistency, right? For a foundation job, that's a big risk. Next time, maybe keep a backup belt on the truck. As for mixers, I've had good luck with the older Multiquip ones, but honestly, any brand's belt will snap if you don't check the tension.
