Old foreman from Detroit told me to wet the bricks, I thought he was nuts
He said soak them overnight or the mortar sets too fast and you get cracks by spring. I tried it on a garden wall last week and yeah, the joints came out way cleaner than my last dry-lay job in Lansing. Anyone else trust the old soak method or do you just work faster?
