That Tuesday when the mortar mix was wrong and I lost half a day
Honestly, I still think the batch of lime I got from the supplier was off, not my mix ratio. The mortar stayed crumbly no matter what I did, and I had to tear down a full 8 feet of wall I'd laid that morning. Has anyone else had a supplier totally mess up a delivery?

Lime can be tricky but sounds like the mix ratio was the real problem.

Oh man, the mix ratio gets me EVERY time. Last summer I tried to make a batch of key lime pie for a cookout and I completely misjudged the sweetened condensed milk to lime juice ratio. Ended up with this weird soupy mess that wouldn't set up right. Everyone was polite about it but I could tell they were just pushing it around on their plates.
