Found out my neighbor spends $80 a week on takeout for just herself
She told me that while I was pulling a $4 bag of lentils out of my trunk, and it hit me how much I save by cooking from scratch. Has anyone else had a moment like that where you realized how different your food budget is from someone else's?

80 bucks a week for one person? Thats insane. I can feed my whole family of four for two weeks on that much if I plan it out right. I did the math once and my homemade lentil soup costs me maybe $1.50 a serving with vegetables and spices included.
