Hot take: frozen veggies beat fresh for budget cooking

I used to buy fresh broccoli and bell peppers every week, spending like $12 just on produce that'd go bad by Wednesday. Switched to frozen bags from Aldi about 4 months ago after I threw out a rotting head of cauliflower. Now I spend $4 for a giant bag of mixed veg that lasts two weeks and I throw them straight into soups or stir fries without chopping. Anyone else ditch fresh for frozen and notice their grocery bill drop?

Yeah absolutely. Frozen is way more practical for everyday cooking.

Wait, does @joel_mason22 just keep a deep freezer full of nothing but frozen pizzas and peas? I can practically picture a whole section devoted to frozen waffles with a side of more frozen waffles, just to be safe. My own freezer is basically a museum of forgotten leftovers and a single bag of corn that's been in there since 2019, so maybe frozen is the smarter move after all.
