Hot take: the Ajay's grocery near me charges $2.99 for a 1 lb bag of carrots but had the same bag at $1.49 last week
Went to Ajay's on Van Ness in Fresno yesterday to grab stuff for a big pot of soup and noticed the carrots jumped two bucks in one week. I asked the guy stocking produce what was up and he just shrugged and said 'the truck costs more now.' Same bag, same size, same carrots, just a new price tag. I get that food costs move around, but a 150% jump in a week feels like someone's just guessing at numbers. Anyone else seeing weird jumps like this at their local store?
