I just found out I've been wasting a ton of money on fresh herbs
I was making a big pot of chili last week and realized I spent $4 on a bunch of fresh cilantro that I only used a quarter of. The rest went bad in my fridge. My friend in Phoenix said she buys a whole plant for $3 at her local market and just snips what she needs. I got a little basil plant from the grocery store for $2.50, and it's already lasted me three weeks. I feel silly for not trying this sooner. What other fresh ingredients do you guys grow at home to save cash?

No way, I always thought you needed to plant them in dirt again! I kept buying new ones for years like a total chump. Seeing the roots grow in just a glass of water is kinda wild. Definitely trying this next time.
