I switched to frozen veggies and saved more than I thought...

They cost less, keep fresh, and cut down on trash.

You mentioned cutting down on trash with frozen veggies. Was it mostly the plastic produce bags you stopped using, or did you notice a big drop in actual food waste from stuff going bad in the crisper drawer?

I always bought fresh thinking it was best, but switching to frozen cut down on both. Less plastic from those bags, and no more slimy greens in the drawer. Changed my whole outlook on grocery shopping.

Tbh, it's wild how much we just accept the fresh is best idea without question. I made the same switch last year and the difference in my kitchen trash is honestly shocking. It feels like we're all slowly waking up to how much waste comes from tiny daily choices. Like, I started noticing it with single-use plastics everywhere, not just groceries. Once you see one part of the system, you start seeing the whole cycle of buy, waste, repeat. Honestly, breaking that cycle even a little feels like a real win.
