My $3 bag of lentils turned into 14 meals and I still have leftovers
I bought a 2-pound bag of dried lentils for $3 at the grocery store last Monday, thinking they'd be a side dish for a few days. Six days later and I've made lentil soup, lentil tacos, lentil curry, and a weird lentil salad that actually worked, and somehow the bag still feels half full. Has anyone else bought one cheap ingredient and accidentally stretched it into a whole week of food?

Is 14 meals really "stretching" it or is that just admitting you ate lentils for every single meal like some kind of survivalist? Seems more like a punishment than a money-saving hack.

14 meals out of a pound of lentils is doable but not exactly a selling point. That's basically admitting you ate lentil soup, lentil loaf, and lentil "taco" filling for two weeks straight. Seems more like a test of will than a grocery hack.
