My neighbor's 3 ingredient chili recipe made me ditch my 10 item list
Talked to the guy next door about what he eats during the week. He told me he makes chili with just canned beans, canned tomatoes, and ground beef. No onion, no garlic powder, no cumin, no nothing else. I thought it would taste flat but he gave me a bowl and it was honestly fine. Made me realize I overcomplicate most meals to feel like I'm cooking when half the stuff I add doesn't do much. I still use diced onion because I like the crunch but I cut my spice cabinet budget in half. Anyone else trim down their recipes after seeing someone cook with almost nothing?

A little salt fixes most of my overthinking in the kitchen.
