Spent 20 minutes trying to open a jar of crushed tomatoes before realizing the lid was a pull-tab

I stood there twisting with a towel and everything, then my roommate pointed at the plastic ring and I felt like an idiot, has anyone else had a kitchen moment that took way too long to figure out?

The "took way too long" part is what gets me. It's a jar of crushed tomatoes, not a nuclear reactor. Twenty minutes of twisting a lid that clearly has a pull tab is honestly kind of impressive in its own way. At least you figured it out eventually, right?

Wait, isn't that a twist off lid not a pull tab? Ngl I thought the same thing at first but then I looked closer at the picture and those jars usually have a little button on the lid that pops up when it's sealed. Honest mistake though, I've definitely spent way too long trying to open something before realizing I was doing it wrong. Those lids can get stuck too if the jar's been sitting in the fridge for a while. So yeah, the pull tab part isn't right but the struggle is real no matter what kind of lid it is.
