That time my mom said my chili was too watery and I actually listened
She told me to stop dumping in canned tomatoes without draining them first after I made a batch that looked more like soup than chili. I switched to draining the cans and letting it simmer longer with the lid off, and it thickened up way better. Anyone else had a family member call out a bad habit in your cooking that you ended up keeping?
