Watched a guy at the Jasper, GA farmers market make 6 meals from one $5 chicken
He bought a whole bird, boiled it down, and stretched the meat across soup, tacos, and rice all week. I started doing it myself and my grocery bill dropped about $40 a week. Anyone else got a cheap protein they stretch like this?
Did you try bone broth with the carcass too? I save the bones from rotisserie chickens and simmer them overnight, then use that broth for soups all month. Beans are my other go to, a bag of dry ones is like two bucks and makes a ton of meals.
