A hostel manager in Lisbon told me to stop booking 3 nights everywhere

I used to book 3 nights minimum at every hostel thinking it saved money on booking fees or whatever. This guy at Home Hostel Lisbon checked me in and said dude you're wasting money if you stay 3 nights in a city you can see in 1.5. He was right. Now I do 1-2 nights max unless I actually want to relax somewhere. Cuts my lodging costs by like 30% per trip. Anyone else overbook hostels out of habit?

Wait, 1.5 days to see Lisbon? That seems crazy fast, I spent like 4 days there and still felt like I missed stuff.

Oh man, I totally feel you on this one! I did 2 full days in Lisbon last spring and barely scratched the surface. Alfama alone took me half a day just wandering those tiny streets and getting lost. And don't even get me started on all the pastéis de nata spots I wanted to try but couldn't fit in. I remember running through the LX Factory in like an hour and missing half the shops because I was so rushed. It's honestly stressful when you're trying to cram everything in, you know? Solidarity on the missed stuff feeling, I bet there's so much more to see there.
