Bought a pair of $30 noise-cancelling earbuds for a 12-hour bus ride to Nashville

They died after 3 hours and the bus engine drone made me regret not saving up for a better pair, has anyone found a cheap brand that actually lasts a full day trip?

Man, that bus drone is brutal. I'm always curious about that sweet spot of price where earbuds actually hold a charge for a long haul. Did you notice if they faded out or just shut off all at once?

Honestly I think you're overthinking it. Most earbuds at any price point will give you a solid 4-5 hours before they start acting up. Unless you're on a 12 hour bus ride, just grab whatever's in your budget and move on.
