Honestly hitting 50,000 miles on a $45 bus pass in Europe this summer broke my brain

Tbh I'm torn between thinking it's a total steal versus wondering if the time lost is worth it because I spent 12 hours on a bus from Budapest to Krakow and the train would have been faster but way more money, what do you all think is the real cost when you factor in time?

12 hours from Budapest to Krakow? Wait, that's insane. I did that same bus route two years ago and it took me almost 15 hours because of a random border check and a driver who took a wrong turn near the Tatra mountains. You must have gotten a good driver or something because that trip alone made me question my life choices, haha. I still can't believe you hit 50,000 miles on a bus pass though, like that's basically circling the Earth twice on a coach.

Is it really that deep though? Like yeah 15 hours on a bus sucks but "questioning your life choices" over a wrong turn in the mountains seems a little dramatic lol.
