Serious question, did anyone else waste money on airport food for years?
Honestly, I used to grab a ten dollar sandwich and a five dollar drink every single time I flew, like from 2018 to 2022. Ngl, it felt like part of the trip. Then last year I added it up and realized I'd blown over $400 just on airport meals. Now I pack a full lunch box with a homemade wrap, some fruit, and a refillable water bottle. It costs maybe three bucks total and I eat it at the gate. Has anyone else found a simple switch that saved way more than they expected?

The airport food tax is real, it's basically a fee for being too lazy to plan ahead. I finally learned my lesson after paying twelve bucks for a sad bagel that felt like it was made last week. @kim.grace is onto something with the leftovers, my insulated bag is now my most important travel item. It's kind of satisfying to eat a decent meal while watching everyone else line up for that overpriced, dried-out pizza.

My biggest win was buying a cheap insulated lunch bag and packing leftovers.
