Showerthought: got stranded in Boise when my $19 bus ticket fell through, started asking hotel lobbies for their leftover breakfast
Booked the cheap overnight bus to save cash and the company canceled the route 6 hours before departure. Stuck at the station in Boise with no refund coming for days. Started walking into hotels near the depot and just asked the front desk if they had any breakfast leftovers from the morning rush. Two places said yes and I ate better than I would have at a diner. Anyone else had luck with the hotel breakfast angle when a plan falls apart?
