That viral blog post about staying in hostels for $10 a night clearly never tried booking in Zurich last summer
I read some supposed budget guru saying hostels are always the cheapest option, but after I paid $45 for a dorm bed in Switzerland I'm calling BS on that whole narrative, has anyone else found that tip completely useless in expensive cities?

Did you actually try somewhere like Young and Fun or just whatever showed up first on Hostelworld?
