The $7 airport shuttle trick an old guy in Lisbon taught me

Was standing outside the Lisbon airport last spring staring at a 25 euro taxi line when a guy named Rui waved me over to the bus stop. He showed me the Aerobus ticket machine, 3.50 euros and it dropped me right at Rossio square in 20 minutes. He rides it every time he flies in, says locals never pay for cabs. Anyone else got a city where the cheap shuttle beats the train?
