Found a $14 library card trick that nuked my streaming bill
Last month I was in the downtown branch in Portland waiting for a hold and saw a flyer about Kanopy and Hoopla. I figured it was just old movies and audiobooks, but they actually have current shows and even some new releases. I dropped Netflix and Hulu, kept just one service for sports, and now I pay $8 a month total instead of $46. The only catch is the borrow limits, like 10 titles a month on Hoopla, which is fine since I was mostly rewatching stuff anyway. Has anyone else swapped their streaming stack for a library card and found it covers more than they expected?
