My grocery budget almost blew up at the self-checkout last Tuesday

I was at the Kroger on Maple Street, and I had my $75 cash envelope ready to go. I scanned everything, but then the machine said my total was $112. I mean, I panicked for a second, but I made myself stop and look at the screen. Turns out I'd scanned a pack of fancy cheese twice by accident. I voided it, paid with my cash, and still had $12 left. Has anyone else had a close call like that where checking the screen saved you?

My buddy had that happen last week at the grocery store. He was so annoyed, @rowanb16. Took him forever to get the charge reversed.
