Picked the $9 meal plan over the $40 one, saved $128 this month
I was stuck choosing between two grocery apps last month, the fancy one with all the chef recipes and the basic one from my local co-op in Austin. I went with the cheap one because I figured I could just swap in my own spices and stuff, you know? Turns out the meal plan was just a list of simple ingredients and cooking times, no fancy tricks at all. I cooked 21 dinners from it and only spent $61 total, versus the $189 I usually blow on takeout. The portions were a bit small so I added rice or beans, but that's like 50 cents extra. Anyone else tried the budget meal plans and found they work better than the flashy ones?
