Pro tip: don't drop $80 on a meal prep service that sends you wilted kale

Signed up for GoodFood last month thinking it'd save me money versus takeout. First box arrived with slimy spinach and a chicken pack that leaked all over my fridge. I lost $80 and still had to buy dinner that night. Has anyone actually had a good experience with these delivery deals or are they all a gamble?

Did you check the estimated arrival date before you ordered? I've been using HelloFresh for like 8 months now and never had a box show up late or with ruined stuff. Maybe it depends on your area or which company you pick. Food quality has been solid for me, and the portions are actually decent. Sucks you got a bad batch, but not every service is like that.

That's a rough way to start with a meal kit service.
