PSA: That 'latte factor' advice from Dave Ramsey cost me $200 last week
I was in Seattle last week visiting my sister and refused to buy a $4 coffee because I'm all about those savings. Ended up falling asleep at a red light after 3 hours of driving and rear-ended someone. Insurance deductible? $500. So much for cutting out 'small luxuries' when it leads to bigger problems, right? Anyone else had a budgeting tip backfire like this?

Geez, that's a rough way to learn a lesson. Reminds me of the time I tried to save money by clipping my own cat's nails instead of paying the groomer. Ended up clipping the quick on accident, blood everywhere, had to rush to the emergency vet. That $35 grooming bill turned into a $200 vet visit real fast. Sometimes the cheapest option just costs you more in the long run, huh?

Learned that one firsthand, ouch. Sometimes the shortcut really is just a pricier detour, ha.
