Stopped buying lunch at my office cafe, saved $214 in 6 weeks

I used to grab a sandwich and chips every day from the cafe in my building downtown, like $11 each time without thinking. Around mid-February I started meal prepping on Sundays, just rice bowls with chicken and whatever veggies were on sale. After 6 weeks I added up what I spent on groceries for those lunches and compared it to what I would have dropped at the cafe, the difference was $214. Now I'm curious, does anyone else find that the biggest savings come from the small daily stuff instead of the big bills?

Tbh the same thing happened to me, once I started tracking my coffee and snack runs it was way more than I expected, way more annoying than my rent or car payment. Small stuff adds up fast because you never notice it leaving.
