That $60 meal kit subscription left me with rotting veggies and a lighter wallet
I signed up for one of those box services thinking it'd cut my grocery bill, but after three deliveries I was throwing out half the ingredients because the portions were way off for two people. Did anyone else find these kits actually cost more than just buying your own stuff at the store?

Yeah but were you actually using all the stuff or did the recipes just not match your eating habits? I feel like these boxes are designed for people who cook every single meal at home and eat the exact portions they give you. I tried HelloFresh and ended up with a whole bag of sad carrots because the recipe called for like 3 carrots but they sent me a dozen. Did you tweak the recipes or just follow them as written?

And you can't chop extra carrots for a stir fry or snack on them?
