The "quick" spreadsheet that ate my whole weekend

I decided to finally merge my banks accounts into one real budget tracker last month. Thought it would take a few hours on Saturday, but the CSV exports had different date formats and categories. Took me until Tuesday night to get everything reconciled with actual numbers. Has anyone else fallen into a data cleanup hole that took way longer than the planning made it seem?

CSV date formats always bite. Next time, script it first.
