Heard a friend say they stopped bullet journaling because it felt like a chore
I was having coffee with a friend yesterday, and she told me she gave up on her bullet journal after about 4 months. She said she spent more time drawing fancy borders than actually planning her week, and it just stressed her out. It made me think about my own system, which is just rapid logging with a black pen and a ruler. I've kept that up for over 2 years now because it's fast. How do you keep your journal simple so it stays useful instead of becoming another task? I'm curious what basic layouts work for other people.

Stationery store threw up" is a whole mood, honestly.

Stick with a single notebook and one pen to avoid that decorating trap.

Wish I had your discipline, Charles. I bought a nice notebook last month and now I'm three fancy pens deep, trying to match ink colors to my mood. It's a real problem. My desk looks like a stationery store threw up.
