I finally took advice from a stranger on my weekly spread layout

Some lady at a coffee shop saw me bullet journaling and told me I was overcomplicating my weekly spread with too many colors. She just said "you don't need 11 pens to plan Tuesday", so I cut down to just black and one highlighter. Has anyone else had a random person change your whole system?

So does the simpler spread actually help you get things done or just feel less fun to look at?

See I actually kind of disagree. The colors are half the fun for me, they're what keep me actually wanting to look at my week. One highlighter and black sounds kinda... boring honestly. If 11 pens works for you and you're not overwhelmed, no random coffee shop lady gets to dictate that.
