My aunt told me to use a fountain pen for my bullet journal and it went about as well as you'd think
She said it would make my writing 'elegant,' but I just ended up with a huge ink blot that ruined my whole weekly spread. Now my Monday looks like a sad Rorschach test. What's the worst piece of stationery advice you've ever gotten?

That sad Rorschach test Monday is a mood. My friend was told to use a fancy wax seal on all her wedding invites. It sounded great until her dining room table was permanently stained red and half the seals cracked in the mail. Some advice just creates more problems than it solves.

Fountain pens just need practice, and @lucas_grant83's friend probably used the wrong wax. Good tools aren't the problem.
