My daily log was getting boring so I added a tiny doodle each day this month

I've been bullet journaling for about a year now and I always stick to the basic layout. Lists, checkboxes, and the occasional highlighter. But last month I got really tired of looking at my daily log... it felt like a chore list. So I decided to draw one tiny thing in the corner each day. Just a little 2 centimeter sketch of whatever I saw that day. A coffee cup, a stray cat by the school, a weird cloud shape. I didn't think it would last. But I actually kept it up for the whole 30 days. The weird part is that now when I flip back through the pages, I remember those days way better than the tasks I checked off. The doodles kind of lock in a feeling. Has anyone else tried adding art to their daily logs even if you aren't good at drawing?

Did you find that certain days where you didn't have a clear object in mind ended up being the most memorable doodles?

Oh that's awesome! I started doing something similar with little nature sketches in the margin of my work notebook. Just a leaf or a bug I saw on my lunch break. It totally changed how I look back at things. I'm no artist either but that's kind of the point, it's just a quick memory marker.
