My habit tracker went from blank pages to full streaks in 3 months
I started bullet journaling last fall but my habit tracker was always empty by week two. Then around January I switched to a simple dot grid with only 3 habits instead of 8. Turns out tracking sleep, water, and one daily stretch was way more doable than trying to log everything at once. Has anyone else found that cutting down the list made a bigger difference than the design itself?

Has minimalism actually helped or are we all just getting better at lying to our future selves about how productive we'll be? I cut down to 2 habits and still managed to skip my "drink water" reminder three days in a row.

Did the 3 habits stick because they felt less like chores, or was it more about being able to see real progress quickly? Your stretch one in particular sounds easy to forget if you're not used to it. Seems like the key was matching habits to your actual daily routine instead of what you wished you did.

Actually the stretch one was the easiest to remember for me lol. I paired it with making coffee every morning so it was impossible to forget. But you're right about matching it to real life, not the fantasy version of yourself. I tried a meditation habit for like 3 weeks before I admitted I'm never gonna do that and picked something I actually wanted to do.
